How Wealth Mentor matches you with a mentor who's already achieved your goal

Wealth Mentor matches you to a mentor based on the specific result you're chasing and the strategy that gets you there — not just whoever has the biggest portfolio or is next available. You take the Wealth Score, talk through your goals on a free strategy session, and get paired with a mentor who is certified in the strategy your goal actually requires.

Why matching on the goal, not the mentor, is the whole point

Most mentoring markets work backwards: pick a well-known mentor, then hope their experience happens to apply to you. A commercial property investor with a 200,000sqm portfolio isn't automatically useful to someone trying to buy a first $500,000 rental in South Auckland with equity-recycling as the plan. The two problems don't overlap, even though both people are "property investors."

Wealth Mentor's matching process works the other way: it starts with what you're trying to achieve and searches for the mentor whose own track record fits.

What matching actually looks at

  1. Strategy. Wealth Mentor mentors are certified per strategy — buy and hold, trading, development, creative cashflow, or commercial property. A mentor is only certified in a strategy where they have 5+ years invested and proven results in it specifically. You're matched within that certification, not against a mentor's general reputation.
  2. Starting position. Some mentors built their portfolio starting with nothing but a tradesperson's income and equity-recycling; others started with more capital. Matching accounts for how close your starting point is to theirs.
  3. Delivery. Some mentors deliver virtually over video call anywhere in NZ; others also mentor on location in their city. Matching factors in whether you want in-person time in a specific market (see also: property mentor Auckland and other NZ regions).
  4. Recency. Certification requires an active, current track record — not a portfolio built once, years ago, under different lending and market conditions.

The matching process, step by step

  1. Take the Wealth Score. A quick assessment of where you're at today — capital position, experience, and what you're trying to achieve.
  2. Book a free strategy session. A call to talk through your goals in more depth than a form can capture, and find the right programme to get you there.
  3. Get matched with your mentor. Wealth Mentor pairs you with a mentor whose certified strategy and track record fit what you're actually trying to do.
  4. Start working together. Through Mentor Me Fast Track (1:1) or Property Mastermind (group coaching and community), depending on which fits your stage and goal.
