Every dollar spent with us gives something back

1% of every payment made through the Wealth Mentor Academy funds a small, specific act of giving — a day of clean water, a vaccine, a square metre of protected forest. It happens automatically, it costs our members nothing extra, and every member can see their own count.

How it works

There is no donate button and nothing to opt into. Giving is built into the way the business runs.

You pay for something

A programme, an event, a subscription, a tool — any payment made through the Wealth Mentor Academy — our checkouts, not anything else.

1% is set aside

One cent in every dollar of the price before GST is set aside for giving — roughly one impact for every dollar you spend. Wealth Mentor pays it; the price you pay does not change.

It becomes a real project

Every week that money goes to B1G1 projects in the area you chose — people, water or the environment — or spread across all three.

How we count, honestly. A member's count is the New Zealand cents Wealth Mentor has set aside from their payments — 1% of the price before GST, so roughly one impact per dollar. The group total above is counted by B1G1 from what has actually been given. The two are different measures and we deliberately don't pretend one of ours equals one of theirs. Refunded payments come off a member's count.

Wealth Mentor is the parent of a group of companies, and giving through B1G1 runs across all of them under one account. The total at the top of this page is the whole group's, counting since the day we joined.

B1G1 (Buy1GIVE1) is a global movement of thousands of small businesses that build small, specific acts of giving into everyday business activity. Every project is vetted, every dollar is tracked, and 100% of what's given reaches the project — B1G1 is funded separately by its member businesses.
